90s Solo Jazz Paper Cup
If you grew up in the 90s you have to remember the design of the 90s Solo Jazz Paper Cup. You could find these cups at any barbecue or house party. From 1987 to 2002 the founder of the design Gina Ekiss was an employee at the Springfield Plant of the Sweetheart Cup Company, the distributor of the design. The company held an internal contest to create the stock image and Gina Ekiss entered the image that later became know as "Jazz."
Around 1992 products flooded the market featuring Ekiss's design. In 2004, Solo Cup purchased Sweetheart Cup leading to the cups to be named "Solo Jazz" cups. The design became an emblem of '90s culture, and today has been repurposed as a pattern used on shirts, nail art and even cars.
